City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager <br />FROM: Genesis Cuevas, Purchasing Manager <br />DATE: October 20, 2022 <br />RE: Approval of an Increase in Spending Authority with Amazon FY 21-22 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />On September 14, 2021, the City Commission approved resolution 2021-3232 for an amount NTE o <br />$55,000. The Blanket Purchase Order does not have enough funds to cover for the remaining of the <br />fiscal year 2021-2022. The City is requesting an additional $30,000 spending authority to cover <br />invoices for the remaining months of the FY21-22. Therefore, the City is requesting authority to spent <br />an amount not to exceed $85,000 with Amazon for various office, IT and event supplies. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />The City shall utilize Omnia Partners (formerly US Communities) Contract No. R -TC -17006 whit <br />expires 01/18/2022 to purchase office and other supplies Amazon, in accordance with Section 62-13(c) <br />of the City Code. The contract has the option to renew for three (3) additional two-year periods <br />through January 18, 2024. Partners is the largest and most trusted cooperative purchasing <br />organization for public sector procurement. As a member, the City is able to participate and utilize <br />competitively solicited contracts to obtain the best goods/services and pricing available in the market. <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br />Funds have been appropriated in various department budgets, as needed. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Resolution <br />Item Number: 10.J <br />
