RESOLUTION NO. 2022 - -lip -c v A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN THE EXPENDITURE OF BUDGETED FUNDS WITH CREATIVE BUS SALES FOR THE PAINTING OF A SHUTTLE BUS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($7,500.00); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on September 15th, 2022, via Resolution No. 2022-3406, the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") ratified the purchase of a 2022 Starcraft Shuttle Bus ("Bus") from Creative Bus Sales ("Vendor"), in an amount not to exceed $134,201.00; and WHEREAS, City staff desires to have the Bus delivered factory painted with the theme colors of the City; and WHEREAS, the Vendor has submitted a quote for the Services in the amount of $7,500.00; and WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to authorize an increase in the expenditure of budgeted funds with Creative Bus Sales for the factory painting of the City's shuttle bus, in an amount not to exceed Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Authorization of Expenditure. The City Commission hereby authorizes an increase in the expenditure of budgeted funds with Creative Bus Sales for the factory painting of the City's shuttle bus, in an amount not to exceed Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00). Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of November 2022.
