RESOLUTION NO. 2023 - _ <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, RATIFYING A SECOND AMENDMENT AND APPROVING A THIRD <br />AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE CORRADINO GROUP FOR <br />PLANNING AND ZONING SERVICES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE <br />HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($150,000.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS <br />EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AMENDMENT; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br />EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on November 9, 2021, the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") issued Request <br />for Qualifications ("RFQ') No. 21-11-01 for Planning and Zoning Services, including Civil and <br />Traffic Engineering ("Services"), for which four (4) responses were received; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 201h, 2022, via Resolution No. 2022-3287, the City Commission <br />ranked the submittals for the RFQ and authorized the City Manager to negotiate an Agreement <br />with the top ranked firm of The Corradino Group ("Consultant"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager negotiated an Agreement with the Consultant for an initial <br />term in an amount not to exceed $150,000.00 to perform the desired Services; and <br />WHEREAS, the negotiated term of the Agreement is for (1) year, with four (4) one (1) <br />year renewal options; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 28th, 2022, via Resolution No. 2022-3384 ("Resolution"), the City <br />Commission approved a First Amendment to the Agreement to conduct a Comprehensive <br />Operational Analysis of the Sunny Isles Beach Shuttle Service ("Study"), in an amount not to <br />exceed $55,950.00; and <br />WHEREAS, via the same Resolution, the City Commission approved an increase in <br />compensation with the Consultant for the original Services of the Agreement, in an amount not <br />to exceed $85,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 24th, 2023, the City Manager executed a Second Amendment to <br />the Agreement with the Consultant, thereby exercising the City's first of four (4) renewal <br />options, with no additional compensation; and <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to further amend the Agreement to provide for additional <br />compensation for the original Services for the current renewal term, in an amount not to <br />exceed $150,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission now wishes to ratify the Second Amendment and <br />approve the Third Amendment to the Agreement with The Corradino Group to provide <br />additional compensation for planning and zoning services for the current renewal term, in an <br />amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00), bringing the total <br />R2023 Ratify Second And Approve Third Amend W Corradino Group Agmt For P&Z Svcs Page 1 of 3 <br />
