The City of Sunny Isles Beach has provide <br />a free shuttle service for over 20 years. The original route was developed in cooperation with Miami - <br />Dade County and evaluated for efficiencies in 2005. The City demographics have changed and transit <br />opportunities have progressed since that time. The City is in need of a full, comprehensive review of <br />the existing system, the performance of its current routes, the possibility of adding on -demand <br />service, adjusting route timing and service hours and possibly expanding the route based on public <br />input and community need (Study). The overall goal is to develop a transit system that will reduce <br />vehicular traffic within our city and provide a better product for our residents. <br />The Corradino Group are qualified to perform this Study and have been selected for engineerinf <br />services through a CCNA bid. Their proposal was negotiated by our Purchasing Manager and i <br />presented for approval in an amount not to exceed $55,950.00. <br />Additionally, due to the unexpected departure of personnel in the Planning and Zoning Department, <br />the City utilized the contracted services of The Corradino Group, Inc. to fill those voids. This wa! <br />above and beyond the original estimated amount. With a new P&Z Director on staff, we will use less <br />Item Number: 4.1) <br />
