Commission; (10) Section 4.2 to increase the time in which an elected official may hold any appointive office or City employment from one (1) to three (3) years after the expiration of his/her term; (11) Section 5.1 to provide for the manner of conducting run-off elections following a special election and further providing that in the event of a tie vote, the winner shall be determined using a method and in a manner prescribed by ordinance; (12) Section 5.3 to delete the provision which allows the ballot title to differ from the legal title; (13) Section 7.4 to require that the City Commission appoint the members of the Charter Revision Commission at its first meeting in January, 2023, and every ten (10) years thereafter; and (14) Section 7.4 to increase the time that the Charter Review Commission shall submit proposed revisions to the City Commission from one hundred twenty (120) days to one hundred fifty (150) days. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: I Section 1. Incorporation of Recitals. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Ordinance upon adoption hereof. Section 2. Charter Amendments. That pursuant to the Charter, and subject to the majority vote qualified electors at the special election set forth herein, the Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows: Part A. Section 2.2(b) of the City Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach is hereby amended to read as follows: § C -2.2(b) — Vice Mayor. During the absence or incapacity of the Mayor, the Vice -Mayor shall have all the powers, authority, duties and responsibilities of the Mayor. Part B. Section 2.3(c) of the City Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach is hereby amended to read as follows: § C -2.3(c) Limitations on Lengths of Service. No person shall serve as Mayor for more than two elected terms. No person shall serve as a Commissioner for more than two elected terms.
