ITB 23-03-01 Sunny Isles Beach Central Island Area Drainage Improvement and <br />North Miami Beach Distribution System Watermain Replacements <br />Duringthe progress of the work,theCONTRACTORshall keep the premises free from <br />accumulations of waste materials, rubbish and debris resulting from the Work. At the completion <br />of the Work, the CONTRACTOR shall remove all waste materials, rubbish and debris from and <br />about the premises as well as all tools, appliances, construction equipment and machinery, <br />and surplus materials and shall leave the site clean and ready for occupancy by the CITY. The <br />CONTRACTOR shall restore to their original condition those portions of the site not designated for <br />alteration by the Contract Documents at no cost to the CITY. <br /> <br />8.16Project Coordination: The CONTRACTOR shall providefor the complete coordination of <br />the construction effort. This shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, coordination of <br />the following: <br />8.16.1 Flow of material and equipment from suppliers. <br />8.16.2 The interrelated work with affected utility companies. <br />8.16.3 The interrelated work with the CITY where tie-ins to existing facilities are <br />required. <br />8.16.4 The effort of independent testing agencies. <br />8.16.5 Notice to affected property owners as may be directed by the Project Manager. <br /> <br />8.17 Project Record Documents and As-Built (Record Drawings): The CONTRACTOR shall <br />keep one record copy of all specifications, plans addenda, modifications, shop drawings <br />and samples at the site, in good order and annotated to show all changes made during <br />the construction process. These shall be available to the Project Manager or examination <br />and shall be delivered to the Project Manager upon completion of the Work. Upon <br />completion of the project and prior to final payment, an as-built (record drawings) of the <br />Project shall be submitted to the Project Manager. <br />The as-built drawings shall be signed and sealed by a Florida Registered Professional <br />Surveyor and Mapper, Engineer, Architect or Landscape Architect depending on the type <br />of drawing. <br /> <br />8.18 Safety and Protection: <br />8.18.1The CONTRACTORshall be responsible for initiating, maintaining, and <br />supervising all safety precautions and programs in connection with the Work. The <br />CONTRACTOR shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of, and <br />shall provide the necessary protection to prevent damage, injury, or loss to: <br /> <br />8.18.1.1 All employees working on the project and other persons who may <br />be affected thereby. <br />8.18.1.2 All the Work and all materials or equipment to be incorporated <br />therein, whether in storage on or off the site. <br />8.18.1.3 Other property at the site or adjacent thereto, including trees, <br />shrubs, lawns, walks, pavements, roadways, structures and utilities <br />not designated for removal, relocation or replacement in the <br />course of construction. <br /> <br />8.18.2 The CONTRACTOR shall comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules, <br />regulations, and orders of any public body having jurisdiction for the safety of <br />persons or property or to protect them from damage, injury or loss; and shall <br />erect and maintain all necessary safeguards for such safety and protection. <br />PAGE 12OF 38 <br /> <br />
