RESOLUTION NO. 2023 - �5 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO REPURPOSE PROPERTY LOCATED <br />AT 18050 COLLINS AVENUE TO PROVIDE OFFICE SPACE FOR USE BYTHE BUILDING <br />DEPARTMENT, RESERVING A PORTION OF THE PROPERTY TO BE USED AS A CAFE <br />FOR THE SALE AND PURCHASE OF FOOD AND BEVERAGES; FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br />EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach's (the "City") Building Department ("Building") has <br />experienced significant growth in services and as a result has needed to increase its staff; and <br />WHEREAS, due to the increase in services and staff, Building is need for additional office <br />space to efficient levels of service to residents and business owners; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is the owner of the property located at 18050 Collins Avenue, Sunny <br />Isles Beach, FL (the "Property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to provide and allow for a portion of the Property <br />to be used as a cafe for the sale and purchase of food and beverages ("Cafe"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to authorize the City Manager to repurpose the <br />Property to provide office space for use by Building, reserving a portion of the property to be used <br />as a cafe. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Authorization of the City Manager. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City <br />Manager to repurpose the property located at 18050 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, FL to <br />provide office space for use by the Building Department, reserving a portion of the property to be <br />used as a cafe for the sale and purchase of food and beverages, to further do all things necessary <br />to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 2. Effective Date.
