RESOLUTION 2024 - %& <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT, ENTER INTO, AND <br />EXECUTE GRANT AGREEMENTS AWARDED BY THE STATE OF FLORIDA, OR ANY <br />OF ITS AGENCIES, RELATED TO INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND <br />CYBERSECURITY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS <br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the State of Florida and its agencies periodically permit eligible local <br />governments the opportunity to apply for certain grants related to information technology and <br />cybersecurity; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 119.071(1)(h), 119.0725 and 282.318, Florida Statutes, <br />certain information related to cybersecurity, including information contained in grant <br />applications, awards, and the specific capabilities and funding awarded, are confidential and <br />exempt from the public disclosure and public meeting requirements of Section 119.07(1), <br />Florida Statutes, and Section 286.011, Florida Statutes; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the receipt, acceptance, and execution of confidential <br />and exempt grants related to information technology and cybersecurity, the City Commission <br />wishes to authorize the City Manager to accept, enter into, and execute grant agreements <br />awarded by the State of Florida, or any of its agencies, related to information technology and <br />cybersecurity. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Authorization of City Manager. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City <br />Manager to accept, enter into, and execute grant agreements awarded by the State of Florida, <br />or any of its agencies, related to information technology and cybersecurity, and the City Manager <br />is hereby also authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 2. Effective Date.
