RESOLUTION NO. 2014-230& <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH OF <br />MIAMI -DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AD VALOREi\7 TAX <br />MILLAGE LEVY RATE AT 2.6000 MILLS PER ONE <br />THOUSAND DOLLARS (S1,000.00) OF TAXABLE ASSESSED <br />VALUE WHICH IS 9.77% MORE THAN THE "ROLLED <br />BACK" RATE OF 2.3686 MILLS, FOR FISCAL YEAR <br />2014/2015; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami -Dade County, Florida, served upon the Civy of <br />Sunni• Isles Beach a "Certification of 2014 Taxable Value "; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065. F.S.. the City of Sunny Isles Beach furnished the <br />County Property Appraiser the proposed millage rate; and the date, time and place at which public <br />hearines will be held to consider the tentative millage rate and tentative budget; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 11, 2014, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2014- <br />2279, adopting tentatively the proposed ad valorem tax millage levy rate at 2.6000 mills per One <br />Thousand Dollars (S 1,000.00) of taxable assessed value. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Establish the Millaee Rate. The millage rate is hereby established as 2.6000 mills per <br />One Thousand Dollars ($1 .000.00) of assessed property value in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The <br />millage reflected is 9.77% more than the "rolled back' rate of 2.3686 mills. for Fiscal Year <br />2014/2015. <br />Section 2. Effective Date.
