SECTION VI. SEVERANCE/TERMINATION. <br />1. Any of the undersigned Governmental Entities shall have the unconditional right to <br />withdraw from this Agreement upon giving a thirty (30) day written notice to the <br />Miami Police Department and to the Chief of Police of the remaining Participating <br />Agencies. <br />SECTION VII. DURATION OF AGREEMENT. <br />This Agreement shall be in effect commencing on the date of execution by the <br />municipality's executive officer authorized to bind its Governmental Entity. <br />Thereafter, this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect for an initial period <br />of five (5) years from the effective date and may be consecutively renewed for <br />additional five (5) year periods upon approval by the Governmental Entity of each <br />respective Participating Agency. This Agreement may be renewed, extended, or <br />modified only by written agreement executed by each Governmental Entity. Any <br />single Participating Agency's withdrawal from this Agreement shall not affect the <br />duration or validity of this Agreement. <br />SECTION VIII. ADDING ADDITIONAL AGENCIES. <br />1. Any additional law enforcement agencies that elect to enter into this Agreement at <br />a later date may do so by executing the Agreement and providing copies to the <br />other Participating Agencies to this Agreement. <br />SECTION IX. COUNTERPARTS. <br />This Agreement may be executed in several counterparts, each of which shall be <br />deemed an original and such counterparts shall constitute one and the same <br />instrument. <br />[Remainder of page intentionally left blank.
