RESOLUTION NO. 2024 -3-137 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING AN INCREASE TO THE BLANKET PURCHASE ORDER WITH PUBLIX FOR THE PURCHASE OF NECESSARY GOODS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($10,000.00); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on September 21, 2023, via Resolution No. 2023-3549, the City Commission approved the issuance of a Blanket Purchase Order ("the BPO") to various vendors, including Publix (the "Vendor") for the purchase of necessary goods (the "Goods"), in an amount not to exceed $50,000.00; and WHEREAS, at the end of Fiscal Year 2023-2024, the BPO closed with expenditures totaling $60,000.00 for additional Goods; and WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to ratify an increase to the BPO with the Vendor for the additional Goods, in an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($10,000.00) for Fiscal Year 2023-2024, bringing the total BPO amount not to exceed Sixty Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($60,000.00). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Increase to Blanket Purchase Orders. The City Commission hereby ratifies an increase to the blanket purchase orders with Publix for the purchase of necessary goods, in an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($10,000.00), bringing the total Blanket Purchase Order not to exceed Sixty Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($60,000.00) for Fiscal Year 2023/2024. Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date.
