City of Sunny Isles Beach
- 18070 Collins Avenue
Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160
}
a Ile or 'E 7 (305) 947 -0606 City Hall
yP• FOQ`\
sv' 0 (305) 949 -3113 Fax
MEMORANDUM
TO: The Honorable Mayor and City Commission
VIA: Christopher J. Russo, City Manager
FROM: Derrick L. Arias, Chief Information Officer
DATE: 10/16/2014 6:30:00 PM
RE: Approval for Information Consultants Purchase Authority not to
exceed $39,000.00 for FY 2014 -2015
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission approve the attached resolution
granting purchase authority for INFORMATION CONSULTANTS, in an amount
not to exceed $39,000 for FY 2014 -2015.
REASONS:
This vendor supports the City with document imaging software and professional
services. The City utilizes Laserfiche for its document imaging system, and
INFORMATION CONSULTANTS is our registered VAR for Laserfiche. Being our
registered VAR, per Laserfiche Corporate Policy, all software licensing and
maintenance can only be purchased through INFORMATION CONSULTANTS.
For the Fiscal Year 2014 -2015, staff is requesting purchase authority of $39,000
which covers the annual maintenance and support for our existing Laserfiche
software, a new module (Laserfiche Forms) which will be implemented to support
process automation, and a $5000 contingency for professional services to
continue assisting City Departments in transtitioning to electronic document
storage.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The City originally purchased the Laserfiche document imaging platform in
October 2005 via resolution #2005 -844.
