This agreement covers the state land in which the city owned pier and restaurant is built upon. As <br />a requirement of our continued use of the state land for this purpose, the State has provided a renewed <br />lease effective December 8, 2023 through April 23, 2027. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />The lease agreement allows for operation of the public fishing pier, with a bait booth, tackle shop and <br />restaurant, along with a lifeguard station and aquatic safety center. Newport Pier is owned by the City <br />of Sunny Isles Beach, however, the land the pier occupies is owned by the State. This lease agreement is <br />required to continue to operate the restaurant and pier activities on state land. <br />Item Number: 9.0 <br />476 <br />
