- s#� <br />C`Tr 4F SVA J-� <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager <br />FROM: Amy Canales, Planning and Zoning Director <br />DATE: November 21, 2024 <br />RE: Appeal of Historic Preservation Board decision for Special Certificate of <br />Appropriateness at 334 Atlantic Avenue <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />This item is being presented for your consideration and action. <br />REASONS: <br />Pursuant to Section 171-4(D), the applicant and owner of the property located at 344 Atlantic Isle <br />(Property) is requesting an appeal of the Historic Preservation Board's (HPB) decision to deny the <br />issuance of a Special Certificate of Appropriateness for demolition of the Property. See attached Notice <br />of Appeal and Supplemental Notice of Appeal. <br />The City Commission will hear and consider all facts material to the appeal and render a decision. Upon <br />consideration, the City Commission may affirm, modify, or reverse the HPB's decision. Their decision <br />shall constitute final administrative review, and no petition for rehearing or reconsideration will be <br />considered.
