<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Invitation to Bid No. 14-10-02 17 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 3 <br />Scope of Services / Technical Specifications <br /> <br />3.1 SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Work shall generally consist of emergency and non-emergency repairs to the City of Sunny Isles Beach’s <br />infrastructure, which includes non-specific unit price work on various City facilities. Unit prices shall include <br />installation, materials, labor, equipment, mobilization costs, removal and disposal of excess materials, <br />backfilling and maintenance of traffic. For the purpose of estimating the cost of MOT in the unit prices of <br />the bid items, MOT shall not exceed fifteen (15) units of Type I or Type II barricades for each location. <br />MOT requirements exceeding this amount will be reimbursed as a direct cost only at the unit rate <br />established in the bid form. <br /> <br />This is a small projects construction contract and will be utilized on an as-needed basis. Quantities are for <br />bidding purposes only. Prospective bidders are not required to bid on all groups stated within the bid <br />proposal. When awarded, the Contract may be awarded to multiple contractors at the City’s discretion. <br /> <br />3.2 PROJECT SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />Below are a list of additional requirements that form a part of this project: <br /> <br />1. All work to be performed under this proposal shall be in accordance with the latest edition of the <br />Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge <br />Construction. <br /> <br />2. Unless otherwise specified in the bid form, all pipe shall be assumed to require 36 inches of cover. <br /> <br />3. The Owner may require access to portions of the site during the period of construction. All work <br />shall be phased as required to accommodate Owner’s occupancy requirements during the <br />construction period. Construction schedule and contractor operations shall be coordinated with <br />the Owner for each project awarded. <br /> <br /> <br />END OF SECTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
