RESOLUTION NO. 2014- 2,2aq A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING AN IN -KIND DONATION TO CHABAD RUSSIAN CENTER OF SOUTH FLORIDA FOR USE OF SAMSON OCEANFRONT PARK AND CITY SUPPORT PERSONNEL FOR A COMrNIUNITY EVENT, IN AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF FIVE THOUSAND NINETY DOLLARS (S5,090.00); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION: PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Chabad Russian Center of South Florida is planning a community event at Samson Oceanfront Park: and WHEREAS, the Chabad Russian Center of South Florida will plan and manage the entire event however they are in need of minimal Parks personnel to assist with electrical connections and park and restroom maintenance as well as support by the Police Department to ensure a safe walking route, and the Outdoor Special Event Permit fee would be waived; and WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach wishes to provide an in -kind donation for use of Samson Oceanfront Park and for Police and Cultural and Community Services support by the Chabad Russian Center of South Florida_. in an total estimated amount of Five Thousand Ninety Dollars ($5,090.00). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Donation. The City Commission hereby approves the donation of in- kind support for the Chabad Russian Center of South Florida to utilize the Samson Oceanfront Park and City personnel for a community event in December 2014, in a total estimated amount of Five Thousand Ninety Dollars (55.090.00). Section 2. Authoritv of Citv Manager. The Citv Nlanager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date.
