RESOLUTION NO. 2014 - 231 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE SECOND <br /> AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH L & L TRUCK <br /> REPAIRS FOR FLEET BUS AND HEAVY DUTY VEHICLE <br /> MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT <br /> TO EXCEED SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS (S60,000.00), <br /> ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE <br /> MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE <br /> CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br /> EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach was in need of a contractor to provide <br /> preventative maintenance and repair services to City-owned buses; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City advertised and issued Request for Proposals (RFP)No. 12-07-01 for <br /> Fleet Bus and Heavy Duty Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Services, for which two (2) responses <br /> were received; and <br /> WHEREAS; on September 20, 2012 via Resolution No. 2012-1968 the City Commission <br /> entered into an Agreement with L & L Truck Repairs for Fleet Bus and Heavy Duty Vehicle <br /> Maintenance and Repair Services, in conformity with the specifications outlined in RFP No. 12-07- <br /> 01; and <br /> WHEREAS. on December 19, 2013 via Resolution No. 2013-2170 the City Commission <br /> approved the First Amendment to the Agreement renewing the Agreement with L&L Truck Repairs <br /> to provide said services, in an amount not to exceed Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00); and . <br /> WHEREAS. L & L Truck Repairs is qualified, willing and able to provide the desired <br /> services on the terms and conditions set forth; and <br /> WHEREAS. the City now desires to renew an Agreement with L & L Truck Repairs to <br /> provide said services, in an amount not to exceed Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00), attached <br /> hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Incorporation of Recitals. The recitals set forth in this Resolution are incorporated <br /> herein by reference as if fully set forth herein. <br /> Section 2. Approval of Second Amendment to the Agreement.
