City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager <br />FROM: Fabricio Volpi, Public Works Director <br />DATE: February 19, 2026 <br />RE: Approval of a Fourth Amendment to the Agreement with IAM Electric, Inc. <br />for Additional Compensation <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />Through Commission approved R2025-3797, the City approved a second amendment to the agreement <br />with IAM Electric for Street Lighting Maintenance and General Electrical Maintenance Services in an <br />amount not -to -exceed a total of $657,000. <br />The City has been satisfied with their work and continues to use them for special projects as needed. <br />The City wishes to increase the current agreement by $175,000.00 bringing the total not -to -exceed <br />amount to $832,000.00. These funds are necessary to move forward with the replacement lights at the <br />Heritage Parking garage, in the amount of $74,999 as well as to continue to utilize their services for <br />immediate response when needed. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />The lights at the Heritage Park parking garage are the originals and are continuously failing. The scope of <br />work includes the removal and proper disposal of 230 existing halogen lamps, which currently consume <br />significantly more energy than the proposed LED lighting and require frequent replacement due to their <br />limited life expectancy.
