Raul Rodriguez 305-512-0000 1 rrodrigueznadventuminvestments.corn September 10, 2025 Dear City Staff and the City Commission, On behalf of the Atlantic Isle Civic Association, I am writing to formally request the City of Sunny Isles' approval to install security pause point arms at the entrance to our island. The Association's Board has convened and voted in favor of this request and initiative. The pause point arms will automatically open for each vehicle and will be only used as a safety deterrent. Cars will pause, while the video cameras (already installed by the City) provide a live feed to the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department of the cars entering and leaving the island. Access will not be blocked in any way for non- residents. Cars that would otherwise speed into or out of Atlantic Isles will have to slow down to pause at the arms. We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community, and after thorough review and planning, we believe that the installation of these security arms will significantly enhance deterrence and overall safety for residents and visitors alike. We are pleased to inform you that we have already obtained all necessary conditions of approval from the Fire Department and the Department of Transportation. Furthermore, we have secured a letter of support from the Mayor, and the support of other officials at the City of Sunny Isles Beach. We respectfully ask the City to grant approval for the installation of the security pause point arms so we can proceed with this important safety enhancement. Thank you for your consideration.
