Each project area is evaluated not only from a visual design perspective, but also from an operational
performance standpoint to ensure all installations can be executed safely, efficiently, and reliably
throughout the duration of the season. MCL evaluates electrical capacity, infrastructure accessibility,
mounting conditions, irrigation exposure, environmental conditions, and long-term maintenance
accessibility when determining décor placement and installation methodology. This approach helps
reduce service interruptions while improving long-term operational reliability and maintenance efficiency.
Following field evaluations, MCL develops coordinated installation plans, operational schedules, staging
strategies, and maintenance planning procedures to ensure all project activities are executed in an
organized and efficient manner. Installation sequencing is strategically planned to minimize disruption
within active public environments while maintaining operational efficiency across all project zones. MCL
also coordinates all required permitting activities, Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) planning, operational
safety procedures, and event-related coordination activities associated with installation and ongoing
support operations occurring within public rights-of-way and highly visible public environments.
MCL will provide the City with renderings,
design concepts, installation schedules,
event coordination plans, and operational
planning documentation for review and
approval prior to implementation. This
collaborative coordination process
ensures all décor installations, event
activations, and operational activities
remain aligned with the City’s vision,
operational expectations, scheduling
priorities, and presentation standards.
Design, Engineering &
Reliability Strategy
MCL approaches holiday lighting and
décor as both a creative discipline and an
engineered operational system. Every
installation is developed with the
objective of delivering not only visually
impactful décor experiences, but also
long-term operational reliability within
South Florida’s uniquely demanding
subtropical environment.
Unlike traditional vendors that rely heavily
on generic third-party décor systems
engineered primarily for colder northern
South Florida Lighting Team, LLC DBA Miami Christmas Lights.
28
