Cover Letter
May 8, 2026
RE: City of Sunny Isles Beach
RFP # 26-04-01 Citywide Holiday Lighting & Decorating Services
Dear Evaluation Committee Members,
On behalf of Miami Christmas Lights (“MCL”), we are honored to submit our proposal for the City of
Sunny Isles Beach’s Citywide Holiday Lighting & Decorating Services project.
Sunny Isles Beach is one of South Florida’s most recognizable and visually distinguished coastal
communities. The City’s emphasis on creating vibrant public spaces, enhancing the resident experience,
and delivering memorable destination-quality environments aligns directly with MCL’s approach to
municipal holiday décor. Our proposal has been thoughtfully developed to transform key corridors and
gathering spaces throughout the City into immersive, elegant, and visually striking holiday experiences
that reflect the sophistication and energy of Sunny Isles Beach.
As the City’s former holiday lighting provider from 2013 through 2020, MCL possesses a unique
understanding of Sunny Isles Beach’s infrastructure, operational expectations, coastal environment, and
community standards. This institutional knowledge allows our team to proactively anticipate project
needs, streamline installation logistics, and minimize operational disruptions while delivering a higher
level of reliability and responsiveness throughout the holiday season.
Since our previous work with the City, MCL has significantly evolved into one of South Florida’s most
technologically advanced holiday lighting and décor firms. Our proposal incorporates proprietary systems
and operational technologies specifically designed to improve reliability, durability, and real-time service
responsiveness in demanding municipal and coastal environments such as Sunny Isles Beach.
These innovations include:
●Proprietary IP67-rated lighting systems engineered to withstand South Florida’s harsh coastal
conditions, including salt air, wind exposure, and moisture intrusion
●Remote AI-assisted monitoring technology designed to proactively identify outages and service
interruptions, allowing for rapid issue detection and resolution before they impact the resident or
visitor experience
●Proprietary solar-powered décor solutions that expand installation flexibility while supporting
sustainability initiatives and reducing infrastructure limitations in select locations
●Dedicated rapid-response service teams operating nightly.
MCL’s headquarters and operations facility are located in Miami Lakes, approximately 17 miles from
Sunny Isles Beach, allowing our team to provide exceptionally fast deployment and emergency response
capabilities. Additionally, MCL services numerous municipal, commercial, and hospitality clients
throughout the surrounding area each evening during the holiday season, ensuring that active field crews,
South Florida Lighting Team, LLC DBA Miami Christmas Lights.
3
