performance standards throughout all phases of the project.
Because MCL controls fabrication, maintenance, and inventory internally, replacement materials, repair
components, and operational support resources remain immediately accessible throughout the season.
This allows MCL to resolve issues more efficiently while maintaining higher levels of system consistency
and operational reliability compared to traditional outsourced service models.
MCL’s vertically integrated approach also allows the company to continuously improve its systems over
time based on real-world operational performance, field observations, maintenance history, and
environmental conditions experienced throughout South Florida municipal environments. This continuous
improvement process has allowed MCL to evolve its systems beyond traditional decorative lighting
installations into highly engineered operational ecosystems designed specifically to reduce outages,
improve longevity, and maintain consistent public presentation quality.
SolLume™ Solar Lighting Ecosystem
In addition to traditional powered lighting infrastructure, MCL offers its proprietary SolLume™ commercial
solar lighting ecosystem as part of its overall operational and design strategy. SolLume™ provides the City
with innovative opportunities to activate areas where permanent electrical infrastructure may be limited,
operationally impractical, or cost prohibitive to expand through traditional electrical construction
methods.
Operating on a low-voltage platform specifically engineered for commercial holiday lighting applications,
SolLume™ allows MCL to extend lighting and décor experiences into parks, medians, pedestrian corridors,
waterfront areas, temporary activation zones, and other high-visibility public spaces without requiring
trenching, generators, or extensive electrical infrastructure expansion. This capability provides the City
with additional flexibility when developing expanded décor experiences, destination-oriented activations,
and environmentally conscious holiday installations throughout the community.
Unlike decorative solar products designed for residential applications, SolLume™ is engineered
specifically for commercial-grade public environment use and is designed to provide illumination levels
comparable to traditional powered décor systems. This allows the City to expand decorative coverage
opportunities while maintaining presentation consistency and operational reliability across both
electrically powered and solar-supported installations.
Event Coordination & Public Activation Support
MCL understands that holiday lighting programs within destination-oriented municipalities frequently
extend beyond decorative installations alone and often include ceremonial activations, public gatherings,
entertainment programming, and high-visibility community events. MCL’s operational methodology
includes structured event coordination procedures designed to support successful event execution while
maintaining operational reliability and public safety.
For City-sponsored events and ceremonial activations, MCL provides dedicated event support personnel
including supervisors, technicians, rapid-response maintenance crews, and designated event
South Florida Lighting Team, LLC DBA Miami Christmas Lights.
31
