C. Display of permit. Whenever work in connection with a permit is occurring, a permit <br /> card or copy shall be conspicuously displayed in the front of the premises at all times <br /> from the date the permit is issued until final inspection. A set of approved plans and a <br /> final as-built survey shall be made available at all times on the premises where work in <br /> connection with the permit is occurring. <br /> 183-2. - Duration of permit. <br /> A. Any permit issued pursuant to this section shall be valid for a period of One Hundred <br /> Eighty (180) days from the date of issuance by the City, unless a different expiration date <br /> is otherwise provided by the City Code or Florida Building Code for a specific permit or <br /> development order, or as otherwise indicated by the City Commission at a public hearing. <br /> Every permit issued pursuant to this section shall become invalid unless the work or <br /> activity authorized by such permit is commenced within One Hundred Eighty (180) days <br /> after its issuance or if the work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned for <br /> a period of One Hundred Eighty (180) days after the time the work is commenced. Work <br /> shall be considered to be in active progress when the permit has received an approved <br /> inspection within One Hundred Eighty (180) days from the date of issuance of the permit. <br /> If the permit is revoked, becomes null and void, or expires due to suspension or <br /> abandonment of the work, a new permit and related fees shall be required. <br /> B. Whenever the City Manager, Building Official or their designee finds any work regulated <br /> by the Florida Building Code and/or the City Code is being performed in a manner that is <br /> contrary to the provisions of such regulations, without a permit, beyond the scope of the <br /> issued permit, or is otherwise dangerous or unsafe, the City Building Official, City <br /> Manager, or their designee are authorized to issue a stop work order against the violator. <br /> Upon issuance of the stop work order, the violator shall immediately cease the work. <br /> Any person who continues any work after having been served with a stop work order, <br /> except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe <br /> condition, shall be subject to penalties as prescribed by applicable law. <br /> § 18343.—Criteria for revocation of permits. <br /> The City Manager of designee may revoke any permit issued by the City for any of the following <br /> reasons: <br /> A. Failure of the holder or operator to comply with the requirements of any ordinance or <br /> code provisions relating to the permit being issued hereunder; <br /> B. Failure of the holder or operator to comply with conditions or terms of the permit; or <br /> C. Discovery by City officials that a permit was issued in error or on the basis of incorrect <br /> information supplied to the City. <br /> Words added underlined,words deleted etricken Page 2 of 4 <br />
