<br />11 <br />RFP 26-04-01 CITYWIDE HOLIDAY LIGHTING & DECORATING SERVICES <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />18070 Collins Ave. | Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160 <br />305.792.1707 | sibfl.net | Purchasing@sibfl.net <br /> <br />Section 2 <br />Special Terms and Conditions <br /> <br />2.0 BACKGROUND OF THE CITY: <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida (the “City”) occupies 1.78 square miles in the northeastern <br />corner of Miami-Dade County, the most populated county in the State of Florida. With an <br />estimated population of 23,253, Sunny Isles Beach ranks 15 in population amongst the 34 <br />municipalities in the County. The City is located on a barrier island bounded by the Atlantic Ocean <br />on the east and the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway on the west and has been developed primarily <br />for residential purposes. Sunny Isles Beach is known as a coastal oasis with pristine beaches and <br />eleven family-friendly parks. With a strong focus on safety, community engagement and forward- <br />thinking, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is a prosperous and collaborative municipality offering an <br />assortment of programs and services primarily for its residents. The City is committed to bridge <br />building with the multicultural community members who call the City of Sunny Isles Beach their <br />home. <br /> <br />2.1 SCOPE OF WORK: <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach, “City” is seeking proposals from qualified “Contractors”/ <br />“Proposers” to provide holiday lighting and decorations at various locations throughout the City, <br />including Parks, Rights-of-Way, and Facilities in accordance with the terms, conditions, and <br />specifications contained in this Request for Proposals “RFP”. The City invites creative proposals <br />for holiday lighting and decorations that creates a unique and memorable experience for anyone <br />living and visiting Sunny Isles Beach during the holiday season. The Proposer will be responsible <br />for the design, installation, maintenance, removal and storage of all Proposer-provided lights and <br />decorations. The lighting and decoration shall be installed, maintained, stored, and removed <br />during the holiday season between mid-November and early January (the “Holiday Lighting <br />Season”). For the 2026 holiday season, the lighting and decorations shall be installed and ready <br />for lighting no later than November 16, 2026, and complete removal by January 31, 2027. <br /> <br />City-Owned Décor: The City is already in possession of the following decorations: three indoor <br />menorahs, and two additional outdoor menorahs. Please do not duplicate these pieces in your <br />design. The City will install these pieces. <br /> <br />Intended colors: The selected vendor shall provide holiday lighting in neutral, non‑holiday‑specific <br />colors. <br /> <br />Display: Decorations must feature an inclusive variety of symbolic holiday lights and decorations. <br /> <br />2.2 BUDGET <br /> <br />The City’s annual budget for holiday décor is approximately $200,000 to $250,000. While the City <br />welcomes proposals that include citywide décor, including all parks and interior facilities, the <br />primary focus should be on highly visible areas along Collins Avenue (Rights-of-Way) and larger <br />parks: Heritage Park, Town Center Park, Samson Oceanfront Park, and Gateway Park.
