cfrx of sum r'� <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager. <br />FROM: Fabricio Volpi, Public Works Director. <br />DATE: June 18, 2026 <br />RE: Agreement with Port Consolidated for Diesel Fuel <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />This item is presented for consideration by the City Commission. <br />REASONS: <br />This request is to approve a first amendment to allocate additional funds to Port Consolidated awarded <br />on the City of Pompano Beach Request for Proposal (RFP) E-03-22 for Unleaded Gasoline and Diesel <br />Fuel. The contract term is March 15, 2022 through March 14, 2027. The Piggyback award includes a <br />comprehensive supply and service of diesel fueling needs for both normal operations and emergency <br />preparedness. The City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida is a member of the Southeast Florida <br />Governmental Purchasing Cooperative Group. The City of Pompano Beach was the lead agency in <br />facilitatingthe RFP for Unleaded Gasoline and Diesel Fuel. <br />The City utilizes diesel fuel for the City shuttle buses, as well as for some public works vehicles and <br />equipment (including generators). The City has a pump station on City property, at City Hall, and in <br />order to ensure efficient operations the vendor delivers fuel directly to the pump station. <br />The City is requesting an increase of $37,000 to the previously approved amount of $275,000, resulting <br />in a revised total not -to -exceed amount of $312,000.00 for the five-year term from 2022 through 2027. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />A complete copy of the contract file, including all exhibits and attachments, is on file with the Office of <br />the City Clerk and is available upon request. <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br />Item Number: 9.13 <br />99 <br />
