(3) Recommendation. The designation report shall also contain a recommendation on <br /> whether the Board should designate the property as an archaeological sitc historic <br /> landmark or historic landmark district. <br /> C. Consideration by Board. The Board shall conduct a public meeting to determine <br /> whether the proposed archaeological site historic landmark or historic landmark district <br /> meets the criteria outlined herein for the purpose of considering all proposed <br /> designations and shall approve, approve with conditions, amend or deny the proposed <br /> designation. <br /> § 171-5. — Standards for designation of d' historic landmarks and historic <br /> landmark districts. <br /> Properties may be designated as historic landmarks or historic landmark <br /> districts only if they have significance in the archaeological or historical heritage of the area, state, <br /> or nation; and meet one or more of the following criteria: <br /> A. Are associated in a significant way with the life of a person important in the past; or <br /> B. Are the site of an historic event with significant effect upon the community, City, <br /> state, or nation; or <br /> C. Exemplify the historical, cultural, political, economic, or social trends of the <br /> community; or <br /> D. Have yielded, or are likely to yield, information important in prehistory or history; <br /> or <br /> E. Contain any subsurface remains of historical or archaeological importance or any <br /> unusual ground formations of archaeological significance,=er <br /> . - <br /> Master Site File. <br /> Section 3. Severability. The provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable and if <br /> any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance shall for any reason be held to be invalid <br /> or unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, sentences, <br /> clause, and phrases of this Ordinance but they shall remain in effect, it being the legislative intent <br /> that this Ordinance shall stand notwithstanding the invalidity of any pan. <br /> Section 4. Inclusion In The Code.
