Chapter 62 <br /> also requires that purchases in excess of Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) must also <br /> follow the City's competitive bidding procedures, unless a specific exemption exists. <br /> Section 62-13 currently provides that contracts for professional services are exempt from <br /> competitive bidding, except for those contracts of more than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) <br /> for professional services governed by Florida Statutes § 287.055 (the "Consultants Competitive <br /> Negotiations Act"). The City desires to amend Section 62-13 to conform to the threshold <br /> amount of Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) for approval by the City Commission. <br /> • <br />
