RESOLUTION NO. 2015- 2.385 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE USE OF THE CITY SEAL BY BICYCLE ACTION COMMITTEE (BAC); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AN AGREEMENT WITH BICYCLE ACTION COMMITTEE FOR THE BICYCLE ACTION COMMITTEE PROGRAM AND FOR USE OF THE CITY SEAL ON CLOTHING; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION: PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Bicycle Action Committee (BAC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization; and WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to partner with the BAC to enhance bicycle safety in the City of Sunny Isles Beach; and WHEREAS, the Bicycle Action Committee will have the authority to use the City Seal and City color codes to place upon bicycle clothing to promote safety and raise money to give to the City to fund their bike initiatives; and WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to authorize the City Manager to negotiate and enter into an Agreement with the Bicycle Action Committee for the use of the City Seal and color codes on clothing, at no cost to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval for Use of City Seal. The City Commission hereby approves the use of the City Seal by the Bicycle Action Committee. Section 2. City Manager Authorization. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to negotiate and enter into an Agreement with Bicycle Action Committee for the use of the City Seal and color codes on clothing to enhance bicycle safety in the City at no cost to the City. Section 3. Authority of City Manager and City Attorney. The City Manager and the City Attorney are hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. 82015-Use of City Seal/Agmt Bicycle Action Committee 1
