RESUME <br />Victor M. Avedano PE, LEED AP, QCxP <br />Principal / President <br />Senior Mechanical Engineer <br />Mr. Avedano is responsible for the production of documents providing <br />professional services in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering. He has over 37 <br />years of mechanical systems engineering experience in the design of HVAC, <br />plumbing and fire protection systems including design, investigation, studies, <br />energy analysis, project management, construction administration. He has <br />supervised a wide variety of projects including commercial and institutional <br />buildings, transportation (airports, train stations), educational facilities, and <br />hospitality. His experience includes both new construction and renovation <br />projects for the various clients. <br />SELECTED PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br />Broward County Ravenswood Bus Maintenance Facility <br />Fort Lauderdale, Florida <br />JALRW was selected by Broward County, Florida to provide programming, design <br />and construction administration services for the replacement of facilities at the <br />Ravenswood Bus Maintenance Facility. The 9 -acre site was reconfigured, replac- <br />ing the existing 1970's structures with new state -of- the -art facilities for current <br />and future needs. The facility accommodate up to 150 fleet vehicles including <br />(130) 40 -foot buses and (20) 60 -foot articulated buses along with staff and visitor <br />parking, the majority of which will be provided by a new 268 - space multi-level <br />parking garage. The existing facilities to be replaced include: an operations <br />building, an 11 -Bay bus maintenance building, a fueling and fare retrieval facility, <br />bus washing facility and surface parking. In addition, ancillary structures include: <br />a sanitary lift station, guard gate, a compressor building and other miscella- <br />neous storage buildings. All of these are proposed to be removed as part of this <br />project. As part of Broward County's ongoing efforts to provide more energy ef- <br />ficient, environmentally sustainable building, the new Ravenswood Maintenance <br />Facility will pursue a LEED° Gold Certification. <br />Broward College Simulation Lab <br />Davie, Florida <br />JALRW was selected by Broward College to design a building which will include <br />seven state -of- the -art simulation labs each of which are equipped with hu- <br />man patient simulators and bedside computers; specialized hospital equipment <br />specific to the function of each lab; internet access; digitalized video; recording <br />cameras and TV monitors. The labs are designed to replicate realistic practice <br />settings and will have an EMS ambulance bay, and Emergency Department, <br />Critical Care units, Medical- Surgical unit, Trauma /Operating /Dental Room, a <br />Labor and Delivery /Neonatal Intensive Care /Pediatric unit; and open lab space to <br />conduct large clinical drills, as well as debriefing rooms, storage space, and video <br />recording control rooms. Each patient care unit will accommodate 6 students <br />and an instructor, and have an adjoining control room and storage. <br />r <br />
