Handley, R.L.A. <br />Principal Landscape Architect <br />Nova Southeastern University, The Center for Collaborative Research <br />(CCR) I Davie, Florida I Principal Landscape Architect - 315,000 SF CCR <br />facility prominently situated on the 250 acre main campus. Craven <br />Thompson provided landscape architecture services for tree relocation, <br />landscape architectural and irrigation design for this state -of- the -art facil- <br />ity. Total Estimated Cost: $70 Million. <br />Broward College Simulation Laboratory, Davie, Florida, Principal Land- <br />scape Architect- Proposed three -story Health Science Simulation Center <br />(HSSC) to provide access to the latest advances in simulation technology. <br />The center is designed to offer future healthcare providers the ability to <br />experience life- threatening patient care issues without negative repercus- <br />sions. Situated at the entry to Broward College, the project included the <br />relocation on numerous, massive Live Oak trees for preservation. Craven <br />Thompson provided landscape architecture services for tree relocation, <br />landscape architectural and irrigation design for this extremely important <br />healthcare educational facility. Cost/ Size - $13.6 Million / 64,097 Sq. Ft. <br />Sabel Pines Park, Coconut Creek, Florida, Project Manager and Principal <br />Landscape Architect- CTA was prime consultant for the full range of land- <br />scape architectural /engineering services required for this $5.5 million <br />dollars, 53 -acre sports facility for the City of Coconut Creek. This unique <br />facility provides a wide variety of active and passive recreation opportuni- <br />ties for the residents. The amenities include two soccer fields, four base- <br />ball /softball fields, two tennis courts, two in -line hockey rinks, two unique <br />tot lots, a nature trail through a preserved conservation area, a jogging <br />path, a recreated wetland, a lakefront boardwalk, a group picnic shelter, <br />two family picnic shelters, a restroom /picnic shelter, a concession /rest- <br />room / administration building, a maintenance building with compound <br />and numerous parking areas. <br />Coconut Creek Community Center & Educational Corridor Development <br />Coconut Creek, Florida, Principal Landscape Architect - Cost: $5.3 Million. <br />This 8.2 -acre community center provided an anchor for the City's newly <br />established Educational Corridor. As part of the community center proj- <br />ect, CTA developed the design standard for the educational corridor. The <br />Community Center Master plan included sports courts, amphitheater, play <br />areas, boardwalks & jogging paths. The site is extensively landscaped with <br />buffer planting & berms on all sides which includes the City's iconic but- <br />terfly gardens. <br />1 641 <br />
