Project Approach & Understanding City of Sunny Isles Beach | Request for Qualifications No. 15-08-02 September 23, 2015 Page 5 Hensel Phelps has thoroughly reviewed the Scope of Services outlined in Section 3.1 of the Request for Qualifications and will employ a combination of people, processes, partnerships and technology to create a landmark building for the City of Sunny Isles Beach. As a licensed general contractor in the State of Florida, Hensel Phelps can operate as both a Construction Management and/or General Contracting firm and will provide the City of Sunny Isles Beach an exceptional level of service by ensuring that the new multi-use facility will be delivered on time, under budget and at a quality that exceeds the City of Sunny Isles Beach’s expectations. Due to Hensel Phelps’ vast portfolio of successful government projects, we fully understand the myriad of challenges inherent with projects to be constructed in an urban and congested environment. Priority number one is to successfully and safely complete all construction activities with minimal disruption to the adjacent City Hall’s normal operations and the well-being of the surrounding community to include the neighboring school, Norman S. Edelcup K-8. Hensel Phelps is a thought leader and true innovator when it comes to challenging site access, management and logistics. Every project, no matter the size or scope, begins with our clients’ goals and aspirations. Hensel Phelps is committed to working with the City of Sunny Isles Beach to develop the most comprehensive manner to construct the facility which will include discussing the pros and cons of various approaches such as construction phasing, staging, offsite prefabrication of materials, coordination of construction material deliveries, speed of assembly, BIM, laser scanning, etc. Hensel Phelps is at the forefront of construction technology which can be employed to enhance value and quality while controlling costs and schedules. Hensel Phelps offers Building Information Modeling (BIM) in-house through our Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team which is used to visualize and communicate the construction work to take place. This technology is leveraged on a project where timely model information management helps field personnel get it right the first time through coordination of the building systems, prefabrication, efficient processing of documentation and Quality Control. Services Sought.
