Project Approach & Understanding <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach | Request for Qualifications No. 15-08-02 <br />September 23, 2015 <br />Page 5 <br />Hensel Phelps has thoroughly reviewed the <br />Scope of Services outlined in Section 3.1 <br />of the Request for Qualifications and will <br />employ a combination of people, processes, <br />partnerships and technology to create a <br />landmark building for the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach. As a licensed general contractor <br />in the State of Florida, Hensel Phelps can <br />operate as both a Construction Management <br />and/or General Contracting firm and will <br />provide the City of Sunny Isles Beach an <br />exceptional level of service by ensuring that <br />the new multi-use facility will be delivered <br />on time, under budget and at a quality that <br />exceeds the City of Sunny Isles Beach’s <br />expectations. <br />Due to Hensel Phelps’ vast portfolio of <br />successful government projects, we fully <br />understand the myriad of challenges <br />inherent with projects to be constructed <br />in an urban and congested environment. <br />Priority number one is to successfully <br />and safely complete all construction <br />activities with minimal disruption to the <br />adjacent City Hall’s normal operations <br />and the well-being of the surrounding <br />community to include the neighboring <br />school, Norman S. Edelcup K-8. <br /> <br />Hensel Phelps is a thought leader and true <br />innovator when it comes to challenging <br />site access, management and logistics. <br />Every project, no matter the size or <br />scope, begins with our clients’ goals and <br />aspirations. Hensel Phelps is committed to <br />working with the City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />to develop the most comprehensive manner <br />to construct the facility which will include <br />discussing the pros and cons of various <br />approaches such as construction phasing, <br />staging, offsite prefabrication of materials, <br />coordination of construction material <br />deliveries, speed of assembly, BIM, laser <br />scanning, etc. <br />Hensel Phelps is at the forefront of <br />construction technology which can be <br />employed to enhance value and quality <br />while controlling costs and schedules. <br />Hensel Phelps offers Building Information <br />Modeling (BIM) in-house through our Virtual <br />Design & Construction (VDC) team which <br />is used to visualize and communicate <br />the construction work to take place. This <br />technology is leveraged on a project where <br />timely model information management <br />helps field personnel get it right the first <br />time through coordination of the building <br />systems, prefabrication, efficient processing <br />of documentation and Quality Control. <br /> <br />Services Sought.
