ORDINANCE NO. 2015 - y5R <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, Ai•IENDI\iG <br /> SECTION 265-46 OF THE CITY CODE ENTITLED "OFF- <br /> STREET PARKING AND LOADING STANDARDS" TO <br /> CLARIFY THAT OFF-STREET LOADING SPACES SHALL <br /> BE REQUIRED FOR ALL COMMERCIAL AND OFFICE <br /> BUILDINGS; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF <br /> CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR <br /> INCLUSION IN THE CODE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. p <br /> WHEREAS. Section 265-46 of the City Code provides for off-street parking and loading <br /> standards that are used to implement the Land Development Regulations; and <br /> WHEREAS. the City Commission wishes to clarify that off-street loading spaces shall be <br /> required for all commercial and office buildings. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Incorporation of Recitals. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby <br /> ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific pan of this <br /> Ordinance upon additions hereof. <br /> Section 2. Amendment. Section 265-46 of the City Code entitled "Definitions" is amended <br /> to read as follows: <br /> § 265-46. —Off-street parking and loading standards. <br /> D. Off-street loading. <br /> (1) General provisions. <br /> (a) Adequate space for loading and unloading of materials, woods or things, and <br /> for delivery and shipping,shall be provided and maintained on the same <br /> plot as the building, which it serves. <br /> (b) For the purposes of this section, an off-street loading space shall be an area <br /> at the grade level at least 10 feet wide by 25 feet long,with fourteen-foot <br /> vertical clearance. Each off-street loading space shall be directly accessible <br /> from a street or alley without crossing or entering any other required loading <br /> space, and shall be arranged for convenient and safe ingress and egress by <br /> motor truck and/or trailer combination.
