Call to Order by Chairperson: <br /> Action: Chairperson Jorge Camaraza called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.,and each Member <br /> introduced themselves. Warren Stamm is out of town but joined the meeting via conference call. <br /> The following Board Members and City Officials were present: <br /> Committee Members: City Officials: <br /> Jorge Camaraza, Chairperson Deputy City Attorney Fernando Amuchastegui <br /> Shari Blank, Co-Chairperson Consultant Ellen J. Approval of Minutes of the January 21, 2015 Historic Preservation Board Meeting. <br /> Action: Shari Blank noted a change on page 3 of the Minutes in the last paragraph it should say <br /> "sewage" not "storage". <br /> Shari Blank moved and Ari Steiger seconded a motion to approve the above-mentioned <br /> summary minutes, as amended. The motion was approved by a voice vote of 5-0-2 <br /> Loretta de Vries and Natalie Minervina absent] in favor. <br /> 3. A Report on the Sunny Isles Beach Fishing Pier Financial and Expense Report for Pier <br /> Admissions. <br /> Action: [City Clerk's Note: The "Newport Pier Revenues and Expense Schedule" was <br /> distributed prior to the meeting.] Cultural and Community Services Director Susan Simpson <br /> reported on the Revenues and Expense Report for Pier Admission for the period of April 1,2014 <br /> — March 31, 2015. She noted that this is the report that goes to the State. <br /> Chair Camaraza said there is a parking issue when the Pier is open however once the Gateway <br /> Park Parking Garage opens there will not be. He said the Revenues and Expenses Report which <br /> has a deficit now, will be in the black. There are only 20 parking spaces there which is always a <br /> problem. Ari Steiger asked why we need a parking attendant there, and Susan Simpson said <br /> when those spaces are filled, they only allow cars to enter that are going to LaPerla.
