ACTION: City Clerk Brown-Morilla read the title of the proposed ordinance and City Attorney <br /> Dannheisser read her report on the item. City Manager Neustadt objected to the wording in the <br /> proposal regarding insurance and maintenance, stating that these issues were within the <br /> jurisdiction of the City Manager. After discussion it was agreed that no change in the language <br /> was required. <br /> Public Speakers: Mary Ann Eicke <br /> Vice Mayor Morrow suggested a possibility of obtaining additional funding available from <br /> grant sources such as Dade County Arts and Sciences. Commissioner Iglesias said that State <br /> Highway Beautification grants also provide funding for structures if done on State property. <br /> Commissioner Iglesias moved the proposed,amended ordinance and Commissioner Kauffman <br /> seconded a motion to approve the proposal on first reading. The motion was approved by <br /> a roll call vote of 5-0 in favor.
