ACTION: [City Clerk's note: a revised ordinance was handed out with attachments] City Clerk Brown-Morilla read the title and City Attorney Dannheisser presented the report. Public Speakers: None Commissioner Kauffman moved and Vice Mayor Morrow seconded a motion to approve the ordinance on second reading. Ordinance No. 2000-91 was adopted by a roll call vote of 5-0 in favor. Vote: Commissioner Iglesias y 1 Commissioner Kauffman y Commissioner Turetsky yes Vice Mayor Morrow Mayor Samson yes 9. RESOLUTIONS: 9A. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY i ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,APPOINTING CHRISTOPHER RUSSO AS CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY EFFECTIVE AUGUST 23, 2000 OR EARLIER, IF POSSIBLE, ON THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH IN THE CONTRACT ATTACHED AS EXHIBIT "A"; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. ACTION: City Clerk Brown-Morilla read the title and Mayor Samson gave a report nominating Christopher Russo as City Manager. Mr. Russo expressed appreciation and introductory comments. Commissioner Turetsky asked if Mr. Russo intended to use a new or used car, and he said he intended to lease a new car. Public Speakers: Don Stewart Mayor Samson passed the gavel and moved the nomination of Mr. Russo and Commissioner Iglesias seconded a motion to approve the resolution. Resolution No. 2000-209 was adopted by a roll call vote of 5-0 in favor. Vote: Commissioner Iglesias y Commissioner Kauffman yes Commissioner Turetsky yes Vice Mayor Morrow Mayor Samson yes 9B.
