SAMSON OCEANFRONT PARK <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES <br />TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br />COMMERCIAL SHOWERS, RECEPTORS, AND BASINS 15423-2 <br />a. Standard: ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1. <br />b. Type: Integral with mounting flange. <br />c. Shower Head Material: Metallic with chrome-plated finish. <br />d. Spray Pattern: Fixed. <br />e. Integral Volume Control: Not required . <br />f. Shower-Arm, Flow-Control Fitting: 2.0 gpm <br />g. Temperature Indicator: Not required. <br />. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 <br />A. Assemble shower components according to manufacturers' written instructions. <br />INSTALLATION: <br />B. Install showers level and plumb according to roughing-in drawings. <br />C. Install water-supply piping with stop on each supply to each shower faucet. <br />1. Exception: Use ball, gate, or globe valves if supply stops are not specified with shower. Comply <br />with valve requirements specified in Section 15111 "General-Duty Valves for Plumbing Piping." <br />2. Install stops in locations where they can be easily reached for operation. <br />D. Install shower flow-control fittings with specified maximum flow rates in shower arms. <br />E. Install wall flanges or escutcheons at piping wall penetrations in exposed, finished locations. Use deep- <br />pattern escutcheons if required to conceal protruding fittings. Comply with escutcheons requirements <br />specified in Section 15097 "Escutcheons for Plumbing Piping." <br />3.02 <br />A. Coordinate piping installations and specialty arrangements with schematics on Drawings and with <br />requirements specified in piping systems. If Drawings are explicit enough, these requirements may be <br />reduced or omitted. <br />CONNECTIONS: <br />B. Connect fixtures with water supplies, stops, and risers. Use size fittings required to match fixtures. <br />C. Comply with water piping requirements specified in Section 15140 "Domestic Water Piping." <br />3.03 <br />A. Operate and adjust showers and controls. Replace damaged and malfunctioning showers, fittings, and <br />controls. <br />ADJUSTING: <br />B. Adjust water pressure at faucets to produce proper flow. <br />3.04 <br />A. After completing installation of showers, inspect and repair damaged finishes. <br />CLEANING AND PROTECTION:
