ORDINANCE NO. 2015-Li to 10 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 256-14 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH ("PARKING RATES"); ESTABLISHING NEW HOURLY PARKING FEES AT CERTAIN PARKING METER LOCATIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission has a desire to provide locations for residents to park their commercial/recreational vehicles at various locations throughout the City; and WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to amend the parking fees required per hour at the Ellen Wynne Beach Access and Pier Park parking locations from the current rate of$2.00 per hour to $3.00 per hour. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Incorporation of Recitals. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part by this Ordinance upon adoption hereof. Section 2. Amendment. Section 256-14 of the City Code is amended to read as follows: § 256-14. Parking Rates. A. The parking meter rates at the Ellen Wynne Beach Access shall be $3.00 for each hour and the William Lehman Overpass (Center Island) parking lots shall be $2.00 for each hour, with a minimum purchase of one hour and a maximum of 12'hours. The rental of the parking lot spaces for special events outside of the normal daily operation shall be $50.00 per space for up to 12 hours, and a deposit of$500.00 is required. 1 B. The parking meter rates for the parking lots at the Pier Park, under the William Lehman Bridge, at the Bella Vista Park, and at any other municipal parking lot shall be as follows: i (1) Rate of$3.00 per hour for parking at Pier Park and $2.00 per hour for parking under the William Lehman Bridge, at Bella Vista Park. and at Words added underlined,words strieken deleted(ed) Page I of 3
