Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting April 24,2003 City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida Director Alyce Hanson to help in designing the parking decals. Mayor Samson asked if a car parks without a decal, and they have been warned, and continue to park there, can it be towed, and Mr. Steers said yes, that it can be immediately towed. Public Speakers: Lewis Thaler Lewis Thaler asked how many new parking spaces would be created in total, and Mr. Steers responded that there would be 111 new spaces. Commissioner Goodman moved and Commissioner Iglesias seconded a motion to approve the Resident-Only Accessory Parking Concept. The conceptual plan was approved by a voice vote of 4-0-1 in favor. 11B. Discussion of Conceptual Approval of the Atlantic Isle Stone Bridge Landscaping and Lane Narrowing Project. Action: [City Clerk's Note: City Manager Russo handed out two conceptual site plans at the meeting.] City Manager Russo reported on landscaping and lane narrowing of the Atlantic Isle Stone Bridge and that there is a weight limitation on the bridge that will not allow large trucks to cross. The next step is to go out to bid on this project. Vice Mayor Edelcup commended City Manager Russo and Vila Landscaping. Vice Mayor Edelcup moved and Commissioner Iglesias seconded a motion to approve the conceptual plan. The conceptual plan was approved by a voice vote of 4-0-1 in favor. 12. CITIZENS' FORUM: REQUESTS,PETITIONS&OTHER COMMUNICATIONS None 13. ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Goodman moved and Vice Mayor Edelcup seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting.
