RESOLUTION NO. 2015- Z 5o S A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE • CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2014-2347 APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD FOR A TWO-YEAR TERM; ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF LORETTA DE VRIES, AND CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF DIONE DEL MONICO; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission created the Historic Preservation Board through Ordinance No. 2004-197 adopted on April 15, 2004, providing for standards and review for the preservation of historical properties within the City, and through Ordinance No. 2004-214 adopted on September 22, 2004 adding two additional members to the Board; and WHEREAS,the Board provides recommendations to the City Commission regarding the designation of historic properties within the boundaries of the City; and WHEREAS, on December 18, 2014 via Resolution No. 2014-2347 the City Commission appointed/reappointed members to the Historic Preservation Board for a two-year term; and WHEREAS, Board member Loretta de Vries has resigned, and the Mayor and City Commission desire to accept her resignation from the Board, and confirm the appointment of Dione Del Monico as a member to fill the vacancy on the Historic Preservation Board. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Accept Resignation and Confirm Appointment to the Historic Preservation Board. The City Commission hereby accepts the resignation from Board member Loretta de Vries, and confirms the appointment of Dione Del Monico (individual appointments attached as Exhibit "A") to the Board. Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption. dpPASSED and ADOPTED on this 17th day of December 2015. George .
