<br />01010 - 1/3 <br />SECTION 01010 - SUMMARY OF WORK <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 SUMMARY: This section summarizes the Work of the Project as covered in detail in the <br />complete Contract Documents. This is a general summary and is not intended to be <br />complete and all inclusive of the required Work items. <br />1.02 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br />A. Description of Project The work includes the CONTRACTOR furnishing all labor, <br />materials, tools, equipment, incidentals and service necessary for the construction of <br />approximately 12,000 linear feet of main conduit duct bank, numerous lateral conduit <br />duct banks, street light conduit, street light concrete bases ,spare conduit for city of <br />Sunny Isles, concrete pads for FPL transformers and Vista Switch Cabinets, Manholes, <br />Hand holes, splitter boxes, and testing, surface overlay, traffic control, site restoration <br />including sod, landscaping and driveway restoration to match existing conditions; and <br />all other appurtenant and miscellaneous and incidental items and work for a complete, <br />functional and satisfactory installation of the project as shown on the drawings. The <br />duct banks contain conduit vary in sizes from 2 inch to 6-inch in diameter. The project <br />involves work on Collins Avenue from NE 196th Street to Bayview Drive work off Collins <br />Avenue including 191,185,178 and 175 Streets from Atlantic Boulevard to Collins <br />Avenue; Atlantic Boulevard from 185 Street to 191 Street and 175 Street to 183 Street <br />and the easement north of 175 street and south of 172 Street. All Work must be <br />completed by March 31, 2017 <br /> <br />B. The project is located in the street segments as shown on the Key Sheet of the <br />Drawing Set,. Refer to the Contract Documents for the exact locations of the <br />construction work. <br />1.03 RELATED CONTRACT ACTIVITIES: <br />A. The Contractor shall comply with all Municipal, County, State and Federal laws, rules <br />and regulations applicable to the work and the execution of the work. <br />B. The Contractor shall review the existing permits for this project and secure all <br />necessary additional permits for the execution of the work, including but not limited to <br />permits from the City of Sunny Isles Beach and FDOT. <br />C. The Contractor shall employ and pay for a Land Surveyor registered in the State Of <br />Florida to establish all elevations, lines and levels. <br />D. The Contractor shall be responsible for prompt notification to the Owner and timely <br />field repairs in the event that the Contractor damages any of the Owner’s existing <br />properties or overhead/ underground utilities. <br />E. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining the necessary storage/staging <br />areas for materials and equipment. The Contractor shall coordinate deliveries in <br />accordance with the construction schedule and these specifications, so that <br />materials do not pose an unnecessary long-term nuisance to motorists or residents. <br />Excavated materials and/or backfill materials shall not be stored in the roadway right- <br />of-way for more than 24 hours. If suitable for backfill elsewhere, excavated material <br />must be stockpiled within the staging area. Materials unsuitable for backfill must be <br />removed and disposed off immediately.
