<br />02480 - 1/12 <br />SECTION 02480 LANDSCAPING <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 SCOPE: <br />A. Summary of Work: The CONTRACTOR shall provide all labor, equipment and <br />materials for the landscaping with replacements in kind of all landscaping damaged <br />or destroyed during the execution of the work. <br />1.02 APPLICABLE PUBLICATIONS: <br />A. The following Standard Specifications shall apply to the work of this section as <br />indicated. <br />1. Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services <br />a. Grades and Standards for Nursery Plants/Division of Plant Industry, 1998. <br />2. Florida Nurserymen and Growers Association approved planting practice <br />3. Florida Department of Transportation <br />a. Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (FDOT), latest <br />edition. <br />4. American Joint Committee on Horticultural Nomenclature <br />a. Standardized Plant Names, Species, Etc., 1942 Edition <br />5. American National Standards Institute (ANSI) <br />a. A300 guidelines <br />1.03 DEFINITIONS: (Not Used) <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS: The CONTRACTOR shall make submittals in accordance with Section <br />01300 and the following requirements. <br />A. Submit a written schedule of sources or suppliers of all materials for inspection and <br />approval by ENGINEER before they are delivered and installed on the project. <br />B. Copies of the manufacturer’s specifications or analysis for all fertilizer, including data <br />substantiating that proposed materials comply with specified requirements. Tags <br />from bags of fertilizer used on the site shall also be provided. <br />C. Shop drawings for all staking and guying methods to be used if the ones indicated in <br />the Contract, Plans, Specifications, or other referenced documents are not to be <br />implemented or there are no details provided. <br />D. Schedule of spraying, dusting materials or insecticide soaps to be used to control <br />pests and disease infestation, the reason for their use, and the method to be used to <br />apply the materials and the method of application before it is delivered and used on <br />the project. Furnish documentation that the implementation of these control <br />measures for pests and disease infestation is in strict compliance with all applicable <br />regulations. <br />E. When the specified type, grade, quality, size, quantity, etc. of a material is not <br />available, the CONTRACTOR shall submit a written request to the ENGINEER for a <br />substitution, along with written, documented proof that the material is not available. <br />All substitutions considered must be Florida native species appropriate for the
