<br />02510 - 1/5 <br />SECTION 02510 CONCRETE WALKWAYS, CURBS AND GUTTERS, RAMPS, DRIVE- WAYS, <br />MISCELLANEOUS CONCRETE SLABS AND WHEEL STOPS <br />PART 3 - GENERAL <br />3.01 SCOPE: <br />A. Summary of Work: The CONTRACTOR shall furnish all labor, materials and <br />equipment necessary to reinstate and restore existing concrete walkways, curbs and <br />gutters, ramps, miscellaneous concrete slabs and wheel stops, damaged during <br />construction or as shown on the drawings. <br />1. SECTION 03300 - Cast-In-Place Concrete <br />3.02 APPLICABLE PUBLICATION: <br />A. Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge <br />Construction, latest edition, (FDOT). <br />3.03 SUBMITTALS: Shop drawings for reinforcing, joint material and mix designs shall be <br />submitted for review in accordance with Section 01300. <br />3.04 CERTIFICATIONS AND TESTING: Perform tests in accordance with standards <br />hereinafter specified. <br />3.05 INSPECTION COORDINATION: The CONTRACTOR shall provide access to the WORK <br />for the ENGINEER as requested for inspection. The Contractor shall provide 48 hours <br />notice of its intention to begin new WORK activities. <br />PART 4 - PRODUCTS <br />4.08 CONCRETE: The CONTRACTOR shall provide concrete for sidewalks, curbs and gutters, <br />ramps and miscellaneous concrete slabs as specified in FDOT Specifications - Section <br />345 “Portland Cement Concrete.” For miscellaneous concrete slabs Class I concrete shall <br />have a minimum strength of 3000 psi. <br />4.09 METAL ACCESSORY MATERIALS: The CONTRACTOR shall provide metal accessory <br />materials for miscellaneous concrete slabs as indicated on the Drawings and as specified <br />in FDOT Specification - Section 931. <br />4.10 PRE-CAST CONCRETE WHEEL STOPS: The CONTRACTOR shall furnish pre-cast <br />concrete wheel stops that are nominally six inches high by eight inches wide by six feet <br />long or accepted equivalent. One wheel stop shall be furnished per parking space or as <br />shown on the Drawings. Wheel stops shall be reinforced with two #4 bars. <br />4.11 FORMS: The CONTRACTOR shall furnish forms for the forming of the concrete curb in <br />accordance with the following: <br />A. The forms shall be wood or metal. <br />B. The forms shall be straight and strong enough to resist springing during placement of <br />concrete. <br />C. The forms shall have sufficient bearing surface to prevent tipping. <br />D. The height of the forms shall be equal to full depth of section to be constructed.
