<br />02932 - 1/3 <br />SECTION 02932 SODDING <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 SCOPE OF WORK <br />A. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required to prepare lawn bed <br />and install sodding as required to restore damaged sodding. <br />B. Area to receive sodded grass lawns shall include all disturbed areas to the limits <br />shown on the drawings. Sodded areas shall extend to the pavement, sidewalk, or <br />property lines, whichever is greater. <br />1.02 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Provide technical data as provided in Section 01300 for shop drawings on all <br />materials or installation procedures required under this Section. <br />B. Submit representative topsoil samples for analysis by a private laboratory to <br />determine nutrient deficiencies and outline a proper fertilization program. Copies of <br />the test results shall be provided to the ENGINEER. Based on tests performed by <br />the CONTRACTOR, the soil conditioners shall be as specified or as recommended <br />by the ENGINEER. <br />C. Submit as provided in Section 01300 certifications required for all sodding supplied. <br />1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Comply with all current restrictions in regard to movement of sod into or within areas <br />which are outside of quarantine boundaries for the white fringed beetle and the <br />imported fire ant, as issued by the following agencies: <br />1 U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. <br />2 Florida Department of Agriculture, Division of Plant Industry. <br /> <br />1.4 GUARANTEE <br />A. Furnish a guarantee of all sodding work for a period of 120 calendar days after the <br />date of satisfactory installation of the sod or until final acceptance by the OWNER, <br />whichever is later. Continue maintenance and watering of the sodded areas as <br />specified herein during this guarantee period which is also considered the <br />establishment period. <br />B. During the guarantee period, replace at no cost to the OWNER any sod required <br />under the Contract that dies, is not established or is defective. In case of any doubt <br />as to the condition and satisfactory establishment of the sod, the OWNER may allow <br />such sod to remain through another establishment (120 days) period at which time <br />the sod in question, if found to be dead, in an unhealthy or badly impaired condition, <br />must be replaced. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 SOD
