Florida
Client: Nova Southeastern University
Scope: Master Planning. Detailed Design and Construction Administration Services
Scale: 1 Acre
The Museum of Art sits in the physical center of Fort Lauderdale - at the gateway to the
city's famed Las Olas Boulevard. The museum is poised to become the cultural icon for the
City and serve as a catalyst to uplift the urban life that unfolds around it. EDSA is providing
master planning and detailed design services which will serve to improve the visibility of the
museum through a series of exterior improvements and upgraded signage throughout the
district surrounding it. Areas to be revamped are the museum entry plaza, the breezeway
ramp, the surrounding streetscape and the upper sculpture terrace which will become a
unique outdoor urban venue to take in views to the New River. With these improvements, the
Museum of Art will solidify its status as the western gateway of Las Olas Avenue and as the
hub of Fort Lauderdale's arts and entertainment district.
22 - EDSA's Submittal for RFQ No. 12-04-02
