During construction,we possess an excellent record of communication with the Contractor and the Client.We understand that field conditions can require inventive, practical solutions to arising obstacles, and we possess the judgment and experience to successfully deal with these. As an extension of the City's staff, we understand the specific goals and objectives of the services include: • Provide drawings and specifications for landscaping projects • Site master planning, analysis and design • Urban design plans/concept diagrams • Open space planning, analysis and design • Community planning, analysis and design • Natural resource planning, analysis and design • Design guidelines • Streetscape planning, analysis and design • Feasibility analysis • Peer review analysis • Renderings/Modeling • Assist on preparation of construction documents and specifications • Park Design • Median Design • Local Plants • Cost estimates for above work • Attend meetings with City staff and presentations to City Commission Throughout our history, we have developed an approach to our work that has met the needs of our clients. While each project is unique, and our approach is then tailored to meet specific assignments needs, the general framework of our approach includes the following tasks: • Project Start-up/Programming • Inventory and Analysis • Public Consensus Building/Stakeholder Involvement • Conceptual Design • Detailed Design o Schematic Design o Design Development o Construction Documentation • Permitting • Bidding Assistance • Construction Related Activities Approach to Scope of Work The following is a brief summary of the tasks described above: Project Start-up/ Programming At the onset of a project, the EDSA team will meet with the City Project Manager to determine preliminary goals and objectives of the intended assignment. As part of this initial step, we possess the capability to assist the City in needs assessments for a variety of project types, developing the scope of work and budgeting. During this phase, if specific subconsultants are necessary, they will be determined and selected, in conjunction with EDSA's Submittal for RFO No. 12-04-02 - 47
