CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Scholl at 6:30 p.m. with the following officials <br /> present: <br /> Mayor George "Bud" Scholl City Manager Christopher J. Russo <br /> Vice Mayor Jeanette Gatto City Attorney Hans Ottinot <br /> Commissioner Isaac Aelion City Clerk Jane A. Hines, MMC <br /> Commissioner Dana Goldman Deputy City Manager Stan Morris <br /> Commissioner Jennifer Levin <br /> Angel Aguilar, President of Student Council <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE /INVOCATION <br /> Action: Judge Laura Anne Stuzin led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag,and City Manager <br /> Russo gave the invocation. <br /> Mayor Scholl gave opening remarks of decorum. He introduced Judge Laura Anne Stuzin <br /> who is running for re-election unopposed. Judge Stuzin said she is in the civil division in the <br /> Coral Gables Branch Court and she has been a Judge for almost one year. She presides over <br /> cases that involve $15,000 or less, and she deals with the constituents of the entire Miami- <br /> Dade County. Mayor Scholl noted that our esteemed City Attorney,Hans Ottinot, sits on the <br /> Judicial Nominating Committee,and when a vacancy happens to come about,Hans is one of a <br /> panel of nine(9)members that actually will appoint a Judge to fill that vacancy. Judge Stuzin <br /> got the benefit of that appointment and now she is running for re-election to keep her seat. <br /> 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> 3A. Special City Commission Meeting—January 14, 2016. <br /> Action:Commissioner Aelion moved and Vice Mayor Gatto seconded a motion to approve <br /> the above mentioned Summary Minutes. The motion was approved by a voice vote of <br /> 5-0 in favor. <br /> 3B. Regular City Commission Meeting—January 21, 2016. <br /> Action: Commissioner Aelion moved and Commissioner Levin seconded a motion to <br /> approve the above mentioned Summary Minutes. The motion was approved by a voice <br /> vote of 5-0 in favor. <br />
