<br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-10 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA <br />ESTABLISHING CITIZENS COMMITTEES INCLUDING <br />PUBLIC SAFETY, LONG RANGE PLANNING, BUDGET, <br />CITY HALL, AND BUILDING AND ZONING FOR THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City does not yet have a City Manager and many issues require <br />immediate attention, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the citizens of the City have indicated a desire and the Commission has <br />agreed it would be appropriate and necessary to create such citizens' committees to assist the <br />Commission. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. The following committees be and are hereby created by this Commission: <br /> <br />a. Public Safety <br /> <br />b. Long Range Planning <br /> <br />c. Budget <br /> <br />d. City Hall <br /> <br />e. Building and Zoning <br /> <br />f. Cultural Arts <br /> <br />g. Landscaping <br /> <br />h. Economic Development <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />In accordance with the Charter, Section 2.2, the Mayor shall <br /> <br />appoint both a Chairperson who shall be a Commissioner and a Vice-chair who shall be a citizen <br /> <br />appointee.
