<br />"i-Z~.. <br />icrIF8 <br />~ <br /> <br />Based on the analysis, the comparison and the design of the new <br />apartment/hotel which is sensitive to the concerns ofthe Shoreline <br />Development Ordinance and to the concerns of the neighbors ofthe <br />project and Sunny Isles community, we would respectfully request that <br />the application be approved. The only change which directly affects <br />shoreline criteria is that the tower itself has been moved 72 feet further <br />west in order to accommodate the concerns raised by the City of Sunny <br />Isles Beach. <br /> <br />The revised landscape plan, prepared by Andrew Witkin, details <br />landscaping and salt tolerant species which are an improvement over the <br />previously approved plans. The applicant has met with staff and the <br />residents in an effort to provide a revised project which meets the <br />community a much needed boost to local tourism with a beautiful public- <br />oriented apartment/hotel and resort complex which will serve the entire <br />community. <br /> <br />I am enclosing copies ofthe previous resolution and a comparison <br />chart and analysis of the projects for your review. I trust that the <br />Shoreline Committee will be favorable towards our request based on the <br />foregoing information.
