Corner of AIA, Sunny Isles Boulevard <br /> Dear Mr. Vera: <br /> Pursuant to your departmental rules and regulations, this letter will serve as our <br /> letter of intent in regard to the above-styled zoning application. <br /> The applicant seeks a district boundary change from BU-IA and BU-1 to BU-2 or, <br /> in the alternative, a use variance to permit an automobile parking garage in conformance <br /> with Section 33-253(2)of the Code of Metropolitan Dade County. The parking structure <br /> will permit both private and public parking (582 spaces) to service Dr. Cornfield's <br /> property which is immediately to the east of the subject property, across A1A, and also <br /> serve during the week to provide much needed additional parking for Samson Park. <br /> As you will note from the site plan, the parking garage provides a major landscape <br /> area fronting AlA with lush landscaping throughout the grounds and cascading down the <br /> side of the parking areas. The upper level of the garage will be used as an additional <br /> landscape area and will permit two tennis courts as a recreational amenity to the existing <br /> hotel across the street.
