GA 30107 <br />7701345.3960 <br />770'345.3961 FAX <br /> <br />Pursuant to portions of Miami-Dade County Business Regulation Ordinance Section 8A-4. <br />Gasoline Price Signs, the fuel vendor shall publicly and continuously display and maintain on <br />the premises at least one (1) sign clearly and legibly stating: <br /> <br />1. Each kind(s) of motor fuel(s) available for sale in full or abbreviated form. <br /> <br />2. The minimum retail price per gallon to the nearest one tenth of a cent for each <br />kind of motor vehicle fuel available for sale at the gas station. <br /> <br />3. Such price sign shall be displayed on the premises in such a location(s) so that <br />said sign(s) is clearly visible and legible to licensed drivers of approaching motor <br />vehicles on at least one (1) street abutting one (1) of the entrances to the gas <br />stalion. <br /> <br />There is only one (1) landscaping area at this Shell Station (16800 Collins Avenue) large <br />enough to accommodate these requirements. This is the location where the o"ginal Shell <br />Pole mounted price sign is/was located. This sign must be replaced with a smaller low <br />level monument style sign 10 meet the current city sign ordinance. <br /> <br />It is not possible to meet the current side setback requirement and remain within Ihe <br />existing landscaped area. It is also not feasible to increase Ihe planter area because iI <br />would encroach further into the existing driveway and also interfere with safe, internal <br />traffic flow. <br /> <br />The granting of this variance to allow the new monument sign 10 be installed in the same <br />location as the existing sign would in no way be detrimental to the health, safety or <br />welfare of the residents of Sunny Isle~ Beach. and would allow the Shell Station to <br />continue business as previously conducted. It would cause Shell an extreme hardship to <br />redesign and re-build the existing facility to accommodate changing a sign location that <br />currently exists. <br /> <br /> <br />.
